MiCorps Stream Monitoring Training Workshops

Each year in June or July, MiCorps holds a training workshop for volunteer stream monitoring grant recipients. If space permits, the training may be opened up to other interested participants.

The 2011 workshop on stream monitoring methods will be held on July 21st at the Warren Townsend Park in Cannonsburg, MI (NE of Grand Rapids). Topics to be covered include aquatic macroinvertebrate sampling and identification, stream habitat analysis, and volunteer and event management. All interested parties are invited to this free workshop, but space is very limited. Contact Paul Steen, psteen@hrwc.org, 734-769-5123, for more information and to register.
