MiCorps Registry

Any Michigan volunteer monitoring organization can register with MiCorps for inclusion in our online directory of Michigan volunteer monitoring programs. In addition, a select group of monitoring organizations that meet MiCorps-established quality assurance and management criteria are encouraged to register to become MiCorps member organizations. Read more about the two registration options below.

MiCorps Directory

This online, searchable directory provides contact and basic program information for volunteer monitoring organizations in Michigan. Registering in the MiCorps directory is an excellent way to raise awareness about your organization and to network with other programs in the state.

MiCorps Member Organizations

MiCorps member organizations represent a select group of monitoring programs in Michigan. If your organization chooses to become a MiCorps member, it will be eligible to take advantage of all the benefits MiCorps has to offer. You will have access to the wide array of MiCorps resources and monitoring expertise; your program will be recognized as a state leader; and your program’s monitoring data can be entered into our data exchange platform and accessed by the monitoring community and the general public. The data will also be used by the DEQ as a screening tool to identify sites requiring a more detailed assessment and as supplemental data for DEQ water resources management programs.

If you are interested in registering your organization for MiCorps membership, please download and carefully read the Criteria for Membership (PDF). During the registration process, you will be required to submit your organization's quality assurance project plan (QAPP), and your organization's operating procedures, if they are not included in your QAPP. For more information about developing a QAPP and volunteer operating procedures, please visit the Quality Assurance section of our website.
