MiCorps Stream Monitoring Training

Training for starting and sustaining a volunteer monitoring program and MiCorps' volunteer stream monitoring techniques. Attendance is required for 2008 Volunteer Stream Monitoring Grant recipients, but space may be available for other interested groups or individuals. Registration required by May 31. Huron River Watershed Council - Stream Measuring & Mapping Training

Learn how to "read a stream" by assessing and recording physical conditions of a stream monitoring site. This outdoor training will prepare you to join a team later in the summer to conduct an assessment of one of our monitoring sites in the Huron River watershed. Join a team with an experienced collector and leader to search in creeks or the Huron River for macroinvertebrates to learn about the health of the watershed.
